(Problem)
Most strategic planning tools start at the org chart. Pyramid's premise is that the misalignment sits further back — between who the founder actually is and what they are building — so the product has to run a long, structured conversation before it can produce a plan worth following. That meant a guided multi-session experience, not a chat box, and it had to hold a founder's answers across ten sessions without losing the thread.
(My role)
Built the product end to end — the Next.js and TypeScript front end, the Tailwind design system, Supabase auth and Postgres data model, and the Claude-powered conversation engine behind every session.
(Process)
- /01Built the Values module: ten AI-guided sessions — origin story, current reality, patterns, resistance, turning points, desires, needs, synthesis, definition, gap analysis — each a distinct conversation with its own objective.
- /02Built the Purpose module, which reads the values surfaced in module one and turns them into an operational purpose statement.
- /03Built The Chamber, the ongoing strategic-planning surface that stays grounded in the founder's values and purpose rather than starting from a blank page.
- /04Shipped guest mode so a founder can start the first session with no account, then sign in to keep their progress.
(The hard part)
Ten sessions only add up to something if session ten knows what happened in session one. The conversation engine carries prior sessions forward as context so gap analysis can hold a founder's stated values against the reality they described eight sessions earlier — while keeping each session self-contained enough that it can be picked up weeks later.
(Result)
All three modules — Values, Purpose, and The Chamber — are live at pyramid.work, with guest mode letting a founder start before they sign up.
